SPC presents two new plugs to make any device smart at home

SPC, a company specializing in home automation, includes two new plugs in its catalogue to turn a house into a connected home that can be controlled from a remote telephone.

Smart plugs have reached the market to make each of the appliances we have at home a device connected to our mobile. With them, it is not necessary to spend more money on a coffee maker with a WiFi connection or a lamp.

SPC with its Power line for the connected home offers the possibility of turning every corner of the house into an active space with which to interact remotely from work or on vacation. Today it presents two sockets, the Clever Plug Dual and the Clever Plug USB

As their own names indicate, they are two plugs with connection to the home WiFi network. One has two AC ports to connect two devices to the same 16A socket each and independently configurable. Its maximum power is 3,680WThe USB Plug integrates a 10A AC port and two USB ports to achieve greater versatility on the bedside table, for example. It has a maximum power of 2,300W.

The Clever Plug USB can be useful to charge the mobile, the watch and have a reading lamp next to the bed while we sleep. Although we can also use them in other parts of the house to give orders to the coffee maker and activate it at a certain time.

From the SPC application on the mobile, you can keep control of the devices that we have plugged into these two Clever Plug. Being compatible with the main virtual assistants (Amazon Alexa and Google Home Assistant), we can establish a series of routines. Imagine setting the alarm clock at a certain time, at the same time telling the radio and the light to turn on and, while the coffee maker starts up. So getting up in the morning is easier.

Both models are added to the existing Clever Power Strip, a smart strip, and Clever Plug Mini, with a smaller format to adapt to any space. The SPC application also allows you to set on and off rules to limit its operating time whether we are at home or notThese devices represent significant energy savings and prevent us from having to go around the house by turning off the classic switch power strips. The television, computers, video game consoles and other devices will be completely turned off without consuming any electricity. According to the OCU, its use can save up to 9 euros a year with a music channel, for example.
