Philips introduces new true wireless noise-canceling headphones with large speakers
As part of the all-digital IFA 2020, Philips has unveiled new noise-canceling wireless headphones. These are two true wireless models that differ in design, but are ANC and IPX4 certified to withstand tough conditions.
Due to the current situation, this year's IFA is being different . It is generally a fair (one of the largest in the technology sector) that takes place in Berlin and brings together media from around the world who are witnesses of advances in consumer technology. This includes mobiles, televisions and sound systems, but also washing machines, toasters and robots of all kinds.
This year we will not see the curious IFA pavilions in which we see robotic cushions, but we have online conferences and Philips has just made its presentation. Sound is very important to Philips and, within that segment, they have announced new true wireless headphones .
These are the new Philips T8505 TWS ANC and the T5505 TWS ANC , two wireless headphones that share IPX4 certification, active noise cancellation and charging box, but differ in key elements such as design and autonomy.
The top of the range are the T8505 with up to 6 hours of autonomy without counting the charging box
We start talking about the most advanced model of those presented today. These are the Philips T8505, headphones that have a button design that allows you to 'hide' some 13-millimeter neodymium drivers. It is a sizeable speaker for true wireless, which ensures a powerful bass to enjoy music with more punch.
In addition to these large speakers, the headphones feature an active noise cancellation system. In addition to passive cancellation, the recognition of background noise allows us to fully immerse ourselves in what we are listening to. This has a battery consumption, but according to Philips the autonomy is 5 hours with ANC activated continuously and 6 hours without noise cancellation, something that is remarkable.
The box, with a small and oval design, gives us another 18 hours of additional autonomy and it is charged by USB Type-C cable. Regarding the charging speed, with 15 minutes of charging we get an hour of music playback .Among other technologies, they have Bluetooth 5.0 and Google Fast Pair to link and connect to Android phones in a simple way. In addition, we can use each headset in mono independently and they have a sensor that alerts us if we put them wrong.
Regarding the design, we have a circular 'box' that hides the speaker and that allows you to control music and calls with a series of touch gestures. In addition, they have IPX4 certification against splashes and dust , so we can use them to play sports without problems.
